I go for sweet instead of savory -- crumble some walnuts, add a little raw sugar or maple syrup.

You do make me wonder how bacon & egg oatmeal would taste though.

You can do eggs in sweet oatmeal too. My mom makes her oatmeal with milk, eggs, and a good amount of sugar. :\

I usually top my oatmeal with frozen blueberries. If I eat an egg, it's just... eggs. With cheese. Or on toast. Or both.

Steel cut oats, butter, and salt. If I want eggs, I make them separately. I mentioned before I wanted to try garlic powder in the oatmeal, but haben't done it yet.

I've made raw eggs mixed in with oatmeal and then fried like a pancake. Add some raisins and walnuts and it's a great meal that's easy eat while doing other things

sounds kinda gross to me

I always give things a solid shot because I've been surprised before. Like with overnight oatmeal, that's the only way I eat it now...sooooo good. If you haven't had it before, try this: 1/3c oats, 1/3c milk, 1 heaping tablespoon of brown sugar, mix in a cup & cover with a lid or saran wrap, let it sit overnight in the fridge. Next morning, stir it together again, add some milk if needed, and eat cold. Hard to explain, but it's like eating a delicious chewy milkshake (in an awesome way, not a gross way). I ignored overnight oats for years because it sounded super meh, but now I make it all the time

Sounds good to me. Oats are really neutral...like plain bread. With a bit of nutmeg and cinnamon, it would basically be french toast in a bowl.

I'll have to try this, usually I just do steal cut oats with water and some frozen fruit in the microwave.

Yes (edited my post). There's a million recipes online to try, although I mostly stick with the 1/3c oats, 1/3c milk, 1 heaping spoonful of brown sugar formula as a quick morning hit when I first wake up. PB is really popular, you can do yogurt, dried fruit works well because it softens up, etc.
