I've always been a Beatles fan, in fact I stayed away from Oasis because I thought they were just a cheap imitation. Now I have to admit I was wrong.

"What's the story morning glory" is better than every Beatles album I own. Everything from the guitar to the drums to the vocals blows the Beatles out of the water. I'm pretty sure if the Beatles released that album instead of Oasis we'd be talking about it as the best rock album of all time.

It's ashame Oasis couldn't stay focused. Otherwise they'd be considered the greatest rock band of all time.
 
heh, you are asking for trouble with that one...

I myself feel that the Beatles were/are over-rated, but not many agree with me

I found this indie band on garageband.com. Definately a strong Beatles influence if you like that type of music.

I thought these guys's were really good too.

If you "stayed away from "band name here" because I thought they were just a cheap imitation", how can anyone take your musical opinion seriously?

Have you seen them both live for instance? Is "Wonderwall" better than "Hey Jude", or "Let it Be".

I like Oasis, but isn't Liam Gallagher a bit full of himself?

Gotta love the logic employed here. Maybe if Oasis had put out one of their albums before the Beatles appeared on Ed Sullivan you could say this with a straight face.

Oasis are a Beatles derivative pop band. Even if they are one of the better ones (debatable), they can take a number behind the hundreds of other clones ahead of them.

Plus, Liam is a douchebag. Let's not forget that.
