Did OAN actually have an audience? I'd never heard of them until a few months back. Though since I pretty much live under a rock that's not real surprising.

I do believe freedom of speech does not apply, legally, to private industry i.e. DirecTV, AT&T, Facebook, Twitter, etc etc.
Something that morons like Marjorie Taylor Greene fail to understand. My Q-niece wanted to sue Facebook for restricting her access to FB for false and misleading posts about Covid, vaccines, and treatments. She believed her rights had been violated. WRONG, crazy nuttzo person.

I LMAO every time I read or hear of a conservative media source complaining about being prevented from spreading the lies and disinformation they are compelled to barf all over the nation in order to keep their party from falling apart.

I left AT&t wireless last November and called their corporate and told them it was because of them financing OAN.

When I was asking in a local subreddit about other wireless services quality in the area and mention why I was leaving, other people said they were doing the same and so were their families

I hope you switched to Verizon. I like their service...although it is not me who is paying.

I have to laugh at this. OAN doesn't have a legal leg to stand on, it knows it doesn't have a leg to stand on, but it's suing because that's the only option it has besides shutting down. No good service provider will host it.

Not that it's going to succeed. I could see the confidentiality claim helping the lawsuit survive, but I could just as easily see a judge tossing this out. AT&T isn't obligated to renew the contract; the best OAN can realistically do is get a modest payout that delays the shutdown.

It's a move commonly referred to as virtue signaling. They know it's bullshit, but selling to the maga rubes is the point.

One of the Kochs not gonna fund them?

Even Trump wouldn't be dumb enough to fold them into his fledgling media "empire" (at least not before they declare bankruptcy and he can pay pennies on the dollar.) Without any carriage agreements, they're pretty much useless. Even if they tried an IPTV route, it would be expensive to pay for all that bandwidth, content hosting and edge acceleration.

I bet the real reason AON shuts down is because the Russian checks are bouncing.

AON doesn't have any right to be on anothers platform. They can create their own, pull themselves up by their bootstraps.

Nah, AT&T literally bankrolled them and put them in prominence because they wanted to create a competitor to Fox News (likely to use as leverage over advertising and other revenue). After Jan 6th last year and the lawsuits against them, AT&T realized they could end up on the hook for the stupid shit being spouted on there so they chose to stop funding them and not renew their deal.

Its just corporate America being dumb as shit as possible.

Not sure if Russia/Putin is following AT&T's playbook for how to completely fuck up an entrenched position seeking pennies on the dollar only to see mountains of money lit on fire and not only just further adding to their disgrace but showing that they somehow can't even follow the Jackass formula for hitting themselves in the dick to make money.

Maybe they can be the official news source of Truth Social. Have they even got that up and started yet?

Let those that support Dumpf support these fools.

Didn't one of them die? And the remaining one gave lip service to renouncing evil?

there's a couple (that goon of a 3rd brother that still lives and has some bizarre cowboy fantasy amusement park that only he lives in and experiences, no lie), but yeah--one of two primary assholes, Charles I think it was, died a few years ago. David is still around.

The kids are who we need to be really afraid of. They truly believe they've "earned" their wealth and will keep running the political operation.

elect me king, and I shall turn all of their private golf courses and other land holdings into solar and wind farms, and also single mother-refugee and immigrant housing and medical and employment and education and child development campuses, abortion factories and massive vaccine research/manufacturing institutions.

I shall do it.

Let's get it done.
