Is this me, or do most of these guys deserve to be paid much more? Barry Zito is making 240k? For crying out loud, any other team would pay him cool 5-6 mil.

well they probably will be in the future. Maybe an A's fan can comment on who's coming for free agency and what not. But now that many players have proven their worth so to speak, they will probably look for $$.

They pay 'em that little? Hmmm....perhaps Mr. Steinbrenner could be a gracious victor, and pay them in a place where their skills would be appreciated and worth the money...
