And thanks to our friends in Big Government, we'll be sure to crush the small pharmer so he can't spread his free market dogma any longer, and poison our great society!

A Monsanto patent on seed will take care of that.

And thank god Big Government was there to grant patents on seeds so we can stop those crafty free marketers from thinking they have a right to grow food without the proper licenses!

Coors makes and sells a lot of beer, but it doesn't look like Lompoc or Rogue are going away anytime soon.

No, the notion of patents is the fault of libertarians who think they should be entitled to the fruits of their individual creativity as if their ability to create and everything they use and think to create with were invented by other people who get no royalties. These are the little weasels whose muscles are in their heads instead of their backs and arms and use the crowd control of laws to protect them from Darwin and rob the Indians blind. It's you bastards that created the government to enforce your laws.

Yup, but it's the small pharmer who suffers.

No they won't, hell some of them may even be the guys that apply for, and start running the larger farms. If they don't there is ALWAYS going to be a market for the guys that put that extra little bit into their product, look at small brewery's, they are flourishing, and for the most part start after the big guys like Budweiser, Coors, etc ...had been around forever.

You are simply mistaken or Bobber has his head up his ass. The government would regulate such a small fry right out of existence. There can't be any micro-breweries in existence. You are doubtless drinking beer from Somalia.

We'll get around to shutting down small breweries eventually. Think of the children! All of those delicious beers they make with things like chocolate. They're practically forcing children to drink beer! We must pass strict beer standards so that all beer tastes like piss... I mean Coors. Then when everything tastes like Coors, we have no need for those small breweries.

You just need to think bigger Moonbeam. Go smoke some pot from a factory.

What the hell are you talking about? Seriously, you need to seek mental help.

The only way the government could legislate a pot farmer out of business is if the regulations said that dispensaries could only buy from the licensed large, regulated farms, problem with that is that some small time grower sitting on some 16th generation strain of Purple Haze/White Mist hybrid is still going to be able to to sell the shit out of it anyway.

As a medical marijuana patent, as a marijuana connoisseur and as a grower(for personal use only) I have absolutely no problem with this legislation that would allow for big farm produced marijuana. I can always grow my own or buy premium strains from other places, but I would love to see the prices come down and I would like to see an increase in ease of access.

Yeah no shit. I know people who have paid 90+ an 8th for some crazy ass strains, just because they can only get it from one person.

And big government would NEVER pass a law requiring citizens to purchase a specific product from... Oh nevermind. This is just too easy.

What the fuck is bad pot? I'm betting my ass it doesn't contain weed killer like my corn flakes do. Yes, corporate America does piss in your corn flakes.

of course it doesn't contain weed killer, it would kill the goddamn plant. that doesn't mean there aren't pesticides and other stuff that are used.

Thanks alot, you bastard, for letting the cat out of the bag. Now nobody's going to take my bet. I was just sure nobody would connect the fact that weed killer would kill weed.

Problem is its still against federal law so Feds are going to go after the big fish, not small. So if anything it may help the smaller ones... in the long run. ;)

On a OT note.....

California ignoring and breaking Federal drug laws ( and Immigration laws via local sanctuary city clauses) = Okay in the liberal mind.

Arizona defending and upholding Federal immigration laws = Bad !! Time to yell, scream, protest and throw a childish fit in the minds of liberals.
