pII 400 on p6bx. can i o.c. i tried setting the speed in the bios to 450(it will let me set it to 500) it still posted at 400. i don't think there are any jumpers to adjust. any ideas? jer

Your Pentium II processor is multiplier locked.

You cannot overclock your processor unless you change your FSB.

As a realistic expectation, most Pentium II 400s should get to 448MHz (4 x 112).

Correct me if I am wrong. With Intel multiplier locked chips, setting the FSB is the only way to o/c. Just because your bios gives you the option of setting the proc speed doesn't mean your chip will do it. PII chips are 100 fsb, I don't think that 400 will get much faster.
