O.J.'s new book "If I Did It, Here?s How It Happened"

O. J. Simpson, who was acquitted 11 years ago in the 1994 death of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend Ronald L. Goldman has written a book and will appear on television telling ?how he would have committed the murders if he were the one responsible,? his publisher and the Fox television network said on Tuesday.

Judith Regan, whose publishing imprint ReganBooks will release Mr. Simpson?s book Nov. 30, also conducted the television interviews, which will be broadcast on Fox in two one-hour segments on Nov. 27 and Nov. 29. Both ReganBooks and Fox are owned by the News Corporation.

According to a news release, the book and the TV special, which has a working title of ?O.J. Simpson: If I Did It, Here?s How It Happened,? will depict Mr. Simpson describing ?how he would have carried out the murders he has vehemently denied committing for over a decade.?

Can you believe it? Can you believe the bad tast of Fox to put this guy on the air?
Puke.

Fox is a business entity. OJ's appearance will draw viewers. More viewers equals more money for commercial time.

Hey, OJ really doesn't have much to lose, does he? His credibility is pretty much extinct, he can never really get a job again, since the families of the victims will get his paychecks (minus his living expenses approved by the court) towards the $35Million civil lawsuit he lost. About the only thing they could do to him in criminal court would be to try to stretch an indictment that he violated their civil rights when OJ killed them......and that would likely fly as well as a lead balloon!

As far as FOX, are they really any worse than any of the other so-called "news" channels? I love it when I hear people here complain about how political they are, but never complain about the left-leaning news channels (just take a look at some of the "news" specials that CNN had on in the 2 weeks preceding the elections, and tell me they don't lean left!!), and like P.O.W. said, they're out to make money on the sensationalism that will go with something like this.

In fact, the only thing I'd like to see is to have OJ slip his hands right into a pair of gloves just like the ones they had in his criminal court case. Let's see how badly that glove really fits, OJ!! 😉

As sleazy as this obviously is, I must admit I will definitely be tuned in. I can scarcely imagine a more interesting TV show (though that Martin Bashir Michael Jackson documentary a few years ago was a strong contender as well).

I don't see this as sleazy. I see it as letting someone put their foot in the mouth. To me its much worse when news outlets let someone on and and pander to their agenda with softball questions.

I could care less what OJ has to say and there is no way I will waste my time watching, reading or even talking about it. /thread

It's obvious Fox is desperate to change the focus of the American Sheeple since their huge loss on Tuesday.

Very sad on the part of Fox and those that support them.

lol.. ya, i hear they might do a few new sitcoms next year as well.. all in an effort to distract the sheeple from the bad news two weeks ago, right?

I swear Dave, you've become a broken record of rhetoric.

You DO realize that this is the Fox channel, not the FoxNews channel, right?

As for the book and the interviews, I find them each appaling, but in this day and age, nothing to do with Hollywood suprprises me anymore. Their entire culture is beyond salvage... this is just one more example of the X-gen era in pop culture that is completely devoid of morals and decency.

He did do it.

Hes now trying to capitalize on it.

Wow.

Adding yet another consequence to the failure of the jury/prosecution to convict him. Unfortunately, this is completely legal, and utterly repulsive.

It reminds me of Basic Instinct, minus Sharon Stone's hotness.

If I had a dime for every time dmcowen said "American Sheeple" I would be a rich rich man.

And cheers to Techs for attempting to slam Fox news once again.

Awwwwwww thank you.

Fox is all owned by your hero Murdock and your buddy Republicans so it's one in the same. Try again.

I can only hope that the money will go to the family of the murder victims.
This is sleaze at its worst.

how many f*ckin times do I need to tell you that I'm not a Republican?! I am totally and completely unaffiliated, and every indication and litmus test paints me as a conservative centrist.

theory: everyone who disagrees with you must be a "republican," right?

I personally have no heroes.

grow up Dave.

Dave has never, from what I've seen, been anything BUT a broken record of rhetoric, so nothing new there.

I think it's silly to view the existence of this program as some kind of indictment of "Hollywood," when this kind of titillating material has been commercially successful for essentially as long as the printed word has existed. The yellow journalism of the early 20th century was as bad as or worse than anything Fox has ever broadcast. The OJ Simpson case has always captured the public's attention, just as, in their day, Jack the Ripper, the Lindburgh baby kidnapping, and the Leopold and Loeb murder case did. There is nothing new under the sun.

Respectfully you've never said anything that would tend to mitigate the view that you're a Republican, whether or not you consider yourself an independent. Although I have voted for many Republican and independent candidates, I think I'm essentially a Democrat, and I'm comfortable with that. I think it's funny (and I don't mean to pick on you as an individual) how the polls here invariably show most people claiming no party affiliation when that's clearly not the case.

WTF? This is insane.

What's next? Cheney's new book, "I Didn't Plan 9/11, But Here's How and Why I Would Have Done It."

He could talk about it on MTV, and they'd ask him about his giant weiner.

As previously pointed out it is the Fox network doing this not Fox news.

Vito,

Do you think the Goldman family could seek an injunction, based partially on the wrongful death suit, under a theory of outrageous conduct/emotional distress or the like?

I have to admit, I have a legal background, and I don't know the answer to this. I've never practiced in this area.

For Dave having the word FOX is enough.

I wonder about the FX cable network - would he indite them also?

I find it funny there is more anger in this thread toward Fox rather than OJ.

But then I guess OJ probably votes for Democrats, and, well, we all know who Fox favors.

OJ is now, officially, the dumbest guy ever. After you get away with murder you should shrink away, become invisible for the rest of your life and hope that everyone forgets about you. Giving an interview on how you'd do it IF you had in fact done it (which I didn't... this is all just hypothetical :disgust: ) is just... wow.

And why is his lawyer letting him do this? Remind me never to hire that guy.
