I was thinking the asus p4s533 or the epox board 4sda+

Whats the vcore on both these boards???

raid is a plus but I can do without it...

I'm in the same boat as you...I'm going to wait a bit longer for either the SIS 658 chipset with PC 1066 RDRAM agp 8x Firewire and usb 2.0 onboard, or the SIS 648...

I have my 1.6a running at 2.4ghz (150x16).
With the RAM running at DDR400. Good stuff.

vcore up to 1.85 for the NW I do believe
3:4 memory setting
u can lock the agp @ 66/pci @ 33
ata133 raid

I am running 150FSB, 200MHz memory

Spread the 4BDA gospel brothers! 4BDA or the 2+ if you want RAID. Check out my benches to see why you want the Epox.

I want a DDR p4 1.6A mobo also, pref one with onboard sound.

but which should I choose as a stable and value option with decent OCing potential?
I will be OCing probably only by putting the FSB to 133 aiming for c.2.1 ghz , I doubt I will be bumping up the voltage to go for 2.4+ ghz often.

Are any of the 3 mobos at my local dealer ok? Text (prices in $NZ)
If not I will ask him to order one.

Asus P4B266 - there are 5 different versions to choose from.
right outta the box i got 160fsb, havent tried higher yet. awesome board :)
im using the P4B266-C. check my rig link.
