Hey People,

I have a Duron 800 on an Abit KT7Raid MB. Currently overclocked and rock steady at 1 Gig.
Voltage set at 1.725 and CPU temp average 102 F w/ pc running 24 hours a day.

Wanting to go further I upped voltage to 1.85 anf increaed the multiplier to 10.5 by 10.

The PC boot and the bios show 1050 - but once in Window 98 it freezes.

Cooling is not the issue.

Could it be that since I post 1050 that it is Window 98 that is the problem ? If so, what is the better OS ?

Here's My Set-up:
Duron OC'd to 1 Gig
Abit KT7RAID
Crucial PC 133 Cas 2 (256 meg)
Alpha PEP 66 Cooler

My DURON 800 Is stable at 1000 gets a little unreliable at 1020 ang hangs at 1040. Voltage does not help much over 1.8V for me.
Maybe yours have the same limit.

You've reached the limit, i believe. More extreme measures for your CPU measure might help get you to that 1050 mark.

Why don't you pump up the fsb instead of bumping up the multiplier? Keep your multiplier at 10x, and just push your fsb to its limit. Once you find it, keep it there.
