I have a T-Bird 800Mhz on a Asus A7v....
And I'm having trouble finding out just how to clock it right...
Which is the best way to get up to 1Ghz?
What core voltage do I set it to?
I've heard something about connecting some small wires....What is that about?
And so on.....

I'm guessing the small wires that you might be referring to are those L1 bridges on your t-bird..
you need to unlock the processor first (by connecting all of those L1 bridges using a fine mechanical pencil, or a defogger kit)... from there you'll have to tinker in the bios and see what works for you as far as multiplier, fsb, and voltage settings are concerned.

Start by going up till 900Mhz (9X100) with 1.75V then slowly increase the multiplier. The max you can get is up till 1.85V so that's not very much. I got mine to max out at 900Mhz. chances of you reaching 1Ghz is slim but it'll not hurt to try man. You might get lucky. ;)

I'd start out at 1.85v. If you have a good HSF (and if you were seriously thinking of hitting 1G, you should have one) 1.85v should be no problem since these things run at 1.75 by default.

After you connect the aforementioned bridges and up the voltage, start upping the multiplier and see how far you can go. When you can't make the next jump, then start adjusting the FSB if you want.
