Have 2 sticks of ddr2-800 from Corsair, timings are 4-4-4-*. How far should I be able to push an E6400 with the stock heatsink/fan? Using a gigabyte 965p-ds3 board.

400Mhz FSb x7 multiplyer = 2.8Ghz. 1:1 memory ratio for DDR2-800 stock speeds.

Fine for the stock HSF, more would be too much heat I think.

8x400. what revision are the corsair chips? if micron, try 4:5 and see if 44412 is doable with 2.3v

I've got same chip same board. 3.2 was piece of cake with stock hsf at 1.375v (actual was 1.296v the ds3 is a little crazy)
