Hey guys,

was messing around with BIOS the other night, set ram to ddr200, HTT to 3, multiplyer to 6 and and upped my FSB. As it is the computer just wont boot up with the FSB being over 225mhz. Timing of ram is set to stock 2.5-3-3-7 and on 2T (1T windows wont boot). Is there something I'm missing or is the stupid CPU just a dud?

please help...

more details? Is your ram set at DDR200 or 200 mhz? Is your ram rated for 1T?

Your cpu definetly isn't the problem. As at 6x225 = 1350mhz and stock is 2000mhz. Did you lock your PCI-e/PCI bus?

Try only working with 2 sticks of RAM cause it can be a pain with 4 double sided dimm. Do the following.

1. Make sure your running a divider with that memory, 166 MHz is what I reccomend.
2. Make sure your set for 1T, cause 2T blows.
3. Make sure your board has a AGP/PCI lock and is using it.
4. Make sure your SATA ports are locked down.
5. Try setting the HTT to 3X just to be safe

Im pretty new to all this so was just following what the sticky told me to do atm. Havent looked for the option to lock the SATA port but I think i changed the option for the PCI ports tho. There an option for the motherboard (cant remem what it was called) but its it had the option of being Automatic, CPU (i think) and 33mhz. I set it to 33mhz but still didnt work. What speed am I supposed to lock the SATA to? 150? I'll have a look around for the option in the BIOS but I don't remember seeing it tho.

RAM i'm not sure, I think its 2T only tho, its the OCZ premier. I will try with 2 sticks later on to to see if thats causing the problem. Also I set the ram to DDR200 so 100mhz. My system is the one on my signature.

btw thanks for those suggestions
will give it a go later on tonight and post the results

not if hes trying to get his chip max speed. keep the ram on the divider.

whats your vcore?
