I read the anandtech guide to o/c a 4200+. It was very well done guide except it doesn't tell you exactly how to go to 2400mhz. It only said '2400mhz was easily reached.'

So could someone who has read that thread or knows the best way to o/c the 4200 to 2.4ghz. Tell me every detail needed to get to that with the ram divider 1:1. i have an asus a8n sli prem mobo. As i said can you give me steps as i've only ever o/c intel's.

i need someone who can just tell me the best config for volts if needed. fsb multiplier etc... ect...

its only 200mhz o/c but i don't want to miss anything and kill it. A step by step guide would be good it just has to be brief but very thoughtfull.

Set HT multi on the CPU page to 4x

Set HTT to 220mhz on the jumperfree page

Set CPU volts to 1.525v (may not be necessary, it may work on stock volts)

Set "Max memory clock" on the DDR subpage of the CPU page to DDR400

Depending on your ram you may have to loosen the timings and/or increase the DDRvolts

This will give you 2.42ghz with ram at 220mhz(DDR440)
