o 3o Metro 2033

It's f'ing amazing ! loving the atmosphere and it's so much similar to STALKER. I've been using the rail gun thingimajig more often than usual :awe:

It was the big sleeper hit of last year. A small group of under funded developers done good. They're working on the sequel improving things like the gun mechanics so they're a bit more powerful feeling.

Currently playing through this as my "must finish" game ATM. But it's not like I'm forcing myself to play it since it is very fun and the atmosphere is unbeatable. The only frustration I have is that when I'm at a shop, I can't easily tell which bullets go to which guns I have in inventory. Or maybe I'm missing a really obvious way to tell.

It was one of my faves as well. I understand people have different tastes but the hate for this game I never understood. Im crazy I guess because I liked crysis 1 and AVP as well.

Graphically this game will bring even the best of systems at high resolutions to their knees.

I went through the whole game without buying anything. Just used the guns and ammo I found on the ground. Of course on higher difficulties this may not be possible.

The learning curve is a bit steep for a corridor shooter. It adds to the whole ambiance of the game. Make sure you have plenty of pistol ammo to start with, avoid the shotgun if it gives you trouble, and you should be fine.

It's all just what you're looking for an expect I think. I for one had a good time with Crysis 2 despite many others. However I'm in the camp who doesn't like Metro 2033 from the couple hours I've played. Way too many other games I like better to go back to it.

Great atmosphere, but some poor design decisions. Thank goodness I got my copy real cheap. I hope they learn from their mistakes for the sequel.

You realize this was made by people working in something little more than a basement, no? I'd say they did pretty damn good given the resources. You also sound like you're hoping to get the sequel.

It's not. You'll find yourself out of ammo with hoards of badguys still yet to spawn.
