i signed up for a health plan through ACA in texas after i quit my job and moved here. it was actually pretty good.

next year though, United Healthcare decided to no longer offer my current plan and kindly offer me the following in its place, which in which i will be automatically enrolled unless i take action (which you bet i will):

1) higher monthly insurance cost compared to my old plan
2) higher deductibles and copays across the board
3) 4x higher max OOP
4) 20% coinsurance (vs 10%) on emergency visits

so, fuck you united healthcare of TX. i'll either be getting healthcare through work (sadly, it's through UHC) or another provider altogether.
