As I have mentioned before, you are full of assumptions that do not track with reality. All of the insights I have tried to share with you I acquired as a product of the loss of all religious faith. I am not your notion of a believer. I believe in evidence based on experience and what I experienced is that truth does not require religious faith. The same experience that that some people find through religious faith, surrender to God’s will, total acceptance, loving God so intensely that the love of God for us becomes equal to one’s love of him, death of the ego, can happen to anybody who gives up and surrenders to the hopelessness and utter futility of that life has any meaning. To die in surrender, to disappear in love, th let go and fall into inescapable hell, it’s all the same, the awakening of the phoenix from the ashes of the exhausted self.

The only thing that has changed about me is the fact that as the right has become more and more insane I have tried more and more to keep that from happening on the left. We become what we fear. Have you ever noticed that If you tell people something factual they do not know they will see you as egotistical. Think about it.

I believe that guns are not the problem, that self hate is, that gun madness pro and con are smoke screams to avoid the fact that we as individuals are mentally ill. Jesus, of course, as a far far more enlightened being than I can ever hope to be offered a path for the people of his time to be free of it. I admireHim deeply and thank him for the little still left in his tracking that affected my life and drove me to search for hope. I would have not died to it had I not wanted to believe in it nor discovered why it is not subjective, but real.

Sure, be glad to. We have lived our whole lives in the Garden of Eden, ejected only by the Knowingness of unconscious propaganda that we are evil. We are forgiven because in order to survive as children we had to bite from the tree of Knowledge that creates what makes it possible to think in order to survive. Enlightenment is the end of thought, the end of belief, and the return to the oneness of being.
So, basically, you don’t have an answer.

So, basically, you don’t have an answer.
Imagine for a moment that the answer is so simple that every two your old knows but does not know that he knows what it is? How would you hide that secret from someone as they grow up?

The first hurdle would be to seriously considering that you are hiding the answer from yourself. That shouldn't be such a stretch for anybody watching conservative politics. Here I picked an example I believe you can see all too well.

Once we can admit to the possibility that we are in some sort of a state of denial the next step would be to consider would be the nature of our self deception. How and where could we be hiding the truth. What is the answer to the question? What is it that drives Neo? What is the Matrix.

You suggested that I don't have an answer. That isn't quite right. The answer I realized was that there are no answers, that to seek them is to hide the solution. It is the search for answers that blinds us to the truth. There are no answers because there are no questions. That's what a sudden connection, an insight, revealed to me. It is the ego that seeks answers to hide what ego really is, a lie that we needed to survive our childhood and is now our prison.

Good move. Never try to explain the absolute certainty of your claim that moral truth is relative. It would only unmask the bigotry of your unexamined fundamental opinion. Never attempt to substantiate an absurd claim. It can only lead to damaging your ego.

Maybe consider the fact that enlightenment isn’t the realization of some magical cosmic truth like duty, but the loss of belief in all bull shit. The notion that truth is relative is just another big pile of crap and if you were honest enough to try to logically prove it you would discover that fact. You know nothing and neither does anyone else. With that realization, with that acceptance, one can reach the end of one’s rope, all hope of certainty ends and love can awaken. Tell me then that truth is subjective.

What's love got to do with it.

Got to do with it.

See what I did there

I think you are being ignorant to self awareness here, you claim you have to let go of ego, but ego is on full display.

In my opinion, not so. Enlightenment is a word among many others that may be used to describe a transformative experience that no words can ever capture and communicate. Talk of enlightenment is just a finger pointing at the moon. The finger is not the moon and no words about the moon compared with seeing it. However our understanding of our own potential as humans can evolve. Secular humanism is certainly preferable, in my opinion, to say, fundamentalist religious belief.

The only problem with science is the same problem with everything else, Knowingness, the notion that one can observe without being a part of what is being observed. To observe is to enter a God Conscious state where the observer and the observed are one and the same.

A peak experience transcends better and not that good. It creates the certainty that it’s the best of the best.

I think that is a different kind of certainty than just believing.

Are you buying into that South American arahheima (don't know the spelling of it) Transcendence stuff?

If you needed Ego to survive childhood, I really do have sympathy for you, because not EVERYONE'S childhood was about EGO.

There are answers because there are facts, if you choose to ignore them then your ego is in the way.

Put another way, does the Earth revolve around the Sun? IF not then, your facts are not really facts. Correct?

I saw. How about "The love you take is equal to the love you make".

Sorry, can't help you there but there is only one truth and it surfaces here and there in one form or another and has done so for thousands of years. Sadly, we grew up in a profoundly ignorant part of human culture.

If you needed Ego to survive childhood, I really do have sympathy for you, because not EVERYONE'S childhood was about EGO.

Yup, I know, like you remember. :) I was in therapy for years before I could even connect my feelings to anything in my past, and then what a fucking surprise. Suddenly I knew how totally clueless you are, or actually, at the time, how clueless I was.

There are answers because there are facts, if you choose to ignore them then your ego is in the way.
Facts are not answers, they are facts. A donkey laden with books remains a donkey. I told you the facts. There are no questions when the need for them ceases to exist. The need for answers is an ego need, the need instantiates the ego notion that the ego is our friend and not our prison.

Put another way, does the Earth revolve around the Sun? IF not then, your facts are not really facts. Correct?
I suppose I could attempt to argue that facts are facts but if I did you'd just call me egotistical for seeming to sounding sure of myself. Now I have go and see what you were raving about from South America.
