NYPD cop turns himself in for attacking female MTA employee
http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york...tacking-female-mta-employee-article-1.2063013

The man had attacked the 28-year-old transit employee on a Bronx subway platform by putting her in a bear hug, throwing her to the ground and choking her. The NYPD Internal Affairs Bureau is now investigating the incident.

Incident looks to have happened while cop was off-duty as the cop was in plain clothing running away from the crime scene. If there was no video footage, would the cop have fessed up to his use of force however justifiable?

He told investigators that he grabbed the woman after she tried to take his cellphone

I like how they bury that at the bottom. Maybe he overreacted after the lady tried to pickpocket him?

Lol the level of self deceit amongst the authoritarians here is absurd. How long will you continue to suspend disbelief?

I don't think the cop hate is healthy but it's organic and therefore should happen. They sow and reap.

We need wisely to pick and choose our battles. I only will ever amplify cases to illustrate extreme police brutality and overall militarization.

For instance, a simple face slap of mother toward a disagreeable child turns from a basic domestic dispute complaint into the wanton police asphyxiation of the unarmed father.

Officers then pretend to prop up and speak with this now clearly dead man, who only moments before was telling them "I can't breathe." Doesn't it sound eerily similar to the injustice perpetrated against Eric Garner? Police also lied about Mr. Garner dying in transit to the hospital.

Again... in a police state, one can be killed for simply baring witness to the disciplining of your child or selling loose cigarettes on the street.

I don't necessarily buy it, but I'm willing to see what comes of the investigation. I admit that his smirk was strange, but some people respond to adrenaline in different ways.

Man, you guys really like to fill in the details yourself don't you? The article doesn't mention anything about witnesses. It may not be a he said/she said deal. He admitted to the assault. Her initiating it with a pickpocket attempt doesn't necessarily justify his use of force. Again, instead of jumping the gun on people maybe wait for more facts? This is a recurring them in P&N.

Jedi never mentioned any witnesses either. But you actually believing that a woman tried to rob a cop, an on-duty MTA employee, no less, is astounding. Sinsear, is that you?

Did I ever say I believed him? He was off-duty and MTA employees are saints. What I found funny was they bury his side of the story at the very bottom. I'm curious to see what comes of this. The reason I talked about witnesses is because he said it was "he said she said", but if there were witnesses (which the article does not mention one way or the other) then it isn't "he said she said." He can't make that assertion without knowing they were alone.

Don't let Dari get to you. He wouldn't know yellow journalism if he got hit over the head by it, especially when it supports his anti-cop agenda.

Subyman is working overtime in the Georgia cop thread defending the chief of police there who "accidentally" shot his wife. He's the one with the agenda. Me? I'm as impartial as they come, always looking at both sides of the story before stating my opinion.

Cop says I thought he had a weapon-- kills perp. Perp has no weapon only a banana, cop gets exhonerated....do we need to go on....

Cop lies and says she tried to steal my cell phone...now that's classic....rofl...

The officer surrendered and was questioned Thursday. No charges were immediately filed.

once again the Blue Wall protects one of their one.. had that been you or I we would be sitting in a jail cell with at least a dozen charges..

Here is what is possible because I have seen some women act this way in other videos: he takes out his camera to film, she goes crazy and starts screaming and ranting because she can't use her words properly, trying to grab his phone, and he then escalates. It has nothing to do with a pick pocketing, but rather a guy who wasn't respecting her in her eyes and so she loses her shit. Rather like some cops do, in fact.

I am pretty sure both of them acted like idiots.

HAHA, I went to youtube and plugged in "transit employee crazy" and found a 30 second clip of a new jersey transit employee going totally bonkers, but it rather supports my case that it's possible (we already know cops can be thugs, so need need to find proof there). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zUohohoM1ZA

I guess pro-cop agenda is blindly defending police at every chance.

Makes me wonder what this piece of shit pig does when there isn't a camera on him.
