I am home alone with my daughter while wife in school, some criminal kept knocking on my door saying telephone company at 7pm with fake id. what telephone company comes at 7pm plus i have voice over up from cablevision, called 911 its been half hour no one arrived, if they responded promptly they had chance to nab him and prevent future crimes

he kept saying open up telephone company, i told i didnt order any phone service and he kept knocking and showing some fake id
 
Next time, hide your daughter, grab the bat, and take it to the guy. No joke, I would have done it. The cops take waaaay too fvcking long. You call them once you stop him from running away.

*shrugs* i would have done what you did. I would have been annoyed that hte police didn't show up, but i'd grab a baseball bat, and not open the door.
 
they just arrived male and female officer, asked what happened I told them and they said ok began leaving I asked what caused half hour delay response they answered call mayor office and we have priorities to attend to. who are they to chose to what they respond how long they gonna take to arrive

They are the police. Of course they have to triage calls. You'd rather them respond to you than a quadruple homicide?

when my aunts house was being robbed a neighbour called the police.
they showed up 6 hours later and left my aunt a note saying she was robbed and they had been there.
the guys were in and out of her house for over an hour and she lives just down the road from the police station!
