the guys were in and out of her house for over an hour and she lives just down the road from the police station!

My dad's freind called the police similar to what the OP describes cause his son in law was threating his life. Two hours later they find him bound to a chair, needed over 100 stitches in his head and almost bleed to death.

Oh it was worse than that. He had time to gloat over his victim while drinking his victims whiskey, had time to make him open safe, had time to make him get car keys which he eventually stole.

Yea ok guy. A regular cop in the city is LUCKY if he breaks 50k. The starting salary is approx $35k. I'd like to see you put your neck on the line like a city cop does for $35k a year .

Now Nassau and Suffolk county are an entirely different story.

Does'nt sound like they "put thier neck on the line" to me when they show up after the fact. And your stats are BS, I can't speak for NYC,other than to say a janitor in NYC makes 50, but LA they are paid around 80 with overtime. How do I know? My uncle, Jack Manning, is president of the union (california organization of police and sherrifs C.O.P.S)

Which is why NYC is having such a hard time recruiting police officers. Most stay in the force for 3 or 4 years just to get some experience then move on to different things.

Nassau and Suffolk County police officers (just a 40 minute driver from NYC) make a starting salary of more then $50k. Add to that overtime, and by their fifth year they can make over $100k a year. But NYC is extremely different, so next time don't take a shot at NYC police officers without knowing the facts.

My stats are BS?

How bout you suck on that a one time? You can proceed to pull your head out of your ass.

EDIT: And if you want a NYC paper that details what COs and POs have to deal with in the City, try reading The Chief sometime.

And secondly, I don't give a sh!t who your Uncle is unless he works in NYC as a police officer. You take a shot at NYC and start quoting an LA rep? That makes a whole lotta sense.

We just got him back.

Although honestly, I do think that he is a normal member of society that wishes to express himself as an abnormal individual with bad grammar here on ATOT. But I like his posts, they are entertaining.

That's starting, that's nice. Average from recuit to capitan is more in line with national averages. But who cares? NYCs gun policy places public at risk because the PO's hardy ever make it to stop a crime.

There's a story (probably an urban legend) about a guy who calls the police because he sees two people breaking into his barn. The police tell him to stay inside and lock the doors and they'll send a car when someone is available. Ten minutes later, after watching the men get into the barn and start carting stuff out, he calls the police back and tells them not to rush, he's shot both men so they can take their time.

Five minutes later, three police cars with sirens blaring pull up to the house, in time to arrest the two men. One cop says, "I thought you said you shot them!" The man said, "I thought you said no one was available!"

Not really a scientific approach to checking the validity of the story, but:
Google Search, mostly links to jokes.
