For those who don't know, the Perfect Shot is a lightgun shell for the Wii, like the Zapper only in a pistol format and with a springier trigger. And only $15 instead of $25.

I just got two yesterday, and it makes a world of difference in HotD. Hell, I turned the crosshair off and was able to play just fine, better than I did with just the wiimote with the crosshair on :p

How would you rate its accuracy?

I tried the Smart gun Pro that looks identical to the perfect shot when RE:UC came out. the aiming is totally off.

I'm accustomed to using the now light gun to aim but with the crosshairs on, what I aim at and what is targeting is a few inches off and drove me crazy.

HotD has a calibration tool, yes.

Also, as I said, I was able to play the game competently with no crosshair.

I was thinking about getting this sometime..the problem is, I use a projector. I was thinking about making my own pair of LEDs that I could put right above the screen to imitate how big a sensor bar would normally be - that and the cord just doesn't reach. Do you guys think it would have good enough calibration to deal with a setup that's crazy like that?

Probably, just set up the Wii settings first (the console has a setting to tell it how big the sensor bar is in relation to your screen).

Alternately, if you're feeling lazy, you could just pick up a wireless sensor bar at a game store :p

But if you have the energy, go for the DIY solution!

The only reason I would do a DIY one is so I can make the sensor bar "bigger" by having the LEDs separate..i'm afraid the dots would be too close together sitting that far away.

Hmm, should have picked one up today when I was at TRU getting the wireless nunchuk made by Icon. May swing by tomorrow to get one. Is it much better than the Wii zapper?

it definitely is... but then, the Wii Zapper should have been what the Nyko Perfect Shot is since the very beginning. Also the wireless Nyko sensor bar seems to give me far better range than the wii one.

So I got it. I love how it feels in your hand. Have only got to use it on the Wii menus, but it's a nice solid feel and should help with accuracy in games.
