nyc'ers - Where be a notary?

Hey, I need to get a lease notarized. I know there are probably a million notaries in the city, but how do you find them? I guess I can just walk around and look for signs....

I'm hoping someone here has had something notarized and knows a legitimate place. If you know of one open on Sundays, even better.

Yeah, I'd really like to do this on Sunday. Outside of Commerce Bank (no account there), I don't know any banks open Sunday. However, if you don't need an account, Commerce would work fine.

If you're willing to pay (retail) prices

Wow, that's really helpful. Hmmm, retail prices you say? Are there like shady notaries I can go to and pay less?

Well I should have said "if you're willing to pay a premium" because she advertises that she will travel to you.

Since today is tax day April 15th I would CALL HER NOW and ask if she is available Sunday?

The university I work for in TN gives me that service for free.... I usually just walk into the HR office and ask because most of them have to be notaries for the insurance forms. Maybe you can walk into a office somewhere and ask for their HR dept and ask?? Take some donuts with you. 😉

I'd like to notarize your face with book on grammar.

Wow, that was a joke! Holy sh!t...wow wow wow.

Where be you're sense of humer? (all mistakes intentional)

You'd be surprised by where you can find them. For example, there's a drugstore on the corner of 120th & Amsterdam that employs a notary (or used to, don't know if they still do).
