so i need to pick up parts for my pc pronto. so i figure there would have to be some local places in the city that would carry computer parts oriented towards the enthusiast crowd. other than the big names like j&r or compusa, anyone know of small shops that might carry a vga silencer and panaflo fans?

i think i saw a shop that had some chieftec/antec cases out in the front by around korea-town (34th-ish) but other than that i have no clear where to start looking.

thanx

Sorry, man, dunno. I, too, would like to know of such a place in NYC, though. So another bump?

AdComp (one of the resellers that shows up often in PriceWatch & PriceGrabber) is downtown near ground zero.

Map

The map is a little misleading, the entrance is not on Broadway, it is a basement entrance in the shady looking alley between Broadway and Nassau (probably Liberty Pl). I got my last case and several fans there.

Edit: for some reason the map wasn't zoomed before.

Well if it's really at B'way and Nassau, the A train "Broadway/Nassau" stop seems to be the way to go. :D

<--- takes the A train every day

how odd.. i work on wall st. and live in battery park city and I have never seen this place. I must have walked on broadway and nassau st. hundreds of times right around here. do they have a noticeable store front?

The storefront is basically just the awning over the doorway. It really doesn't stand out. We used to get parts from there when I was working at an internet startup nearby on William St.

vexingv: you want to get off at Broadway/Nassau/Fulton St. Almost every express train stops there.
