Where is a nice place to take your girlfriend/wife to dine at? Consider the fact that I am a low income worker, but I am willing to spend on her.

The Place in the West Village (W. 10th St). Romantic, candle-lit grotto below street level with tasty Mediterranean menu, friendly but non-intrusive service and a moderate price tag. It's also situated in a charming neighborhood for an apres-dinner walk.
