NYC KFC-Taco Bell Passed Inspection Day Before Rats Caught on Tape

NEW YORK ? The city health department was trying to figure out Sunday why a KFC-Taco Bell restaurant had passed an inspection the day before video footage caught a dozen rats scampering across its floors.

"It doesn't look like the inspection that was done Thursday met our standards," said Geoffrey Cowley, a health department spokesman. "I don't want to prejudge that. We're concerned and we're going to carefully revaluate that inspection."

Hmmmm someone in the govt not doing their job, that just can't be. Let's see 10,000 restaurants, maybe two inspectors who are probably underpaid, can't see anything wrong with that.

This is the second time you've started a thread about this and used the word fanboy... do you know what fanboy means? 😕 I've never known a person who could be described as a fast food fanboy.

Taco Bell for the loss.. I've almost died from eating there once (only time it has ever happened might I add)

They need to either shut this sh!thole down, or CLEAN UP THEIR ACT!

Exactly. That's what happens when you get 12 year olds posting on this board. His offense is not nearly as bad as the little kids who try to use SAT words or cliches in order to sound smarter.

I heard this story on the local news last night... people were saying that some construction work being done might have stirred up the rats and allowed them to get into the taco bell restaurant. I can't imagine they had a dozen rats dancing in the middle of the store when they passed inspection.

that's what I think to. If there were rats running around I doubt patrons would even be there while the inspections happen. I dunno how NYC does it but often with several health infractions, they are bound to get surprise inspections and unless the inspector was paid off and everyone in the store at the time, it would've been shutdown on the spot if a bunch of rats was scurring around

We had rats in our barn. Only rarely did we ever see them, and other than those few times late at night when we'd see them, they left very little sign of their existence.

Corruption in government organizations? Inconceivable!
Indeed.

...though it was fined $1,300 for some violations including mice droppings...
Oh no! A slap on the wrist for a business franchise!

Those ain't peppercorns in your salad!
