NYC ipod owners

This has been all over the news. Just another reason I love my Karma...although since I lost my e2c's, I hardly use it any more. 🙁

Got to get my gf some good non-white headphones so she doesn't get targeted (even though she has a zen micro).

i know this has been around for a while, its only recently that the city takes this into concern.
not only about ipods, watch your other stuffs too...
nyc is full of strange and crazy people

?I actually changed my headphones,? said another iPod owner. ?I think the black headphones are camouflage, so people just think it?s a regular MP3 player ? hopefully.?

moron. that is the main reason why everyone wants an ipod!

Yeah, I don't own an iPod, but I wouldn't leave anything that value sitting in an outer pocket of my jacket in a crowded subway. You just have to be careful.

You need to worry more if you are in an empty car rather than a crowded one. Some punks could just snatch it when the train stops at a station and just run away with it. Of course I would be sitting in the train laughing my ass off. MWA HA HA.. I mean really.. people should know better.

It doesn't help that iPods are perhaps the most easily lifted item ever in history. Compact, uniformly shaped, smooth, no inter-pocket friction. And a grab-and-run would be even easier, because the target would be listening to music and be oblivious to the lift (until the headphones had to be disconnected, or if they just ripped them from his/her ears).
