If I had a NYC forum now I would have like 2 or 3 topics to totally go off on an ape$hit rant over. I have pent up feelings about the 50 cent fare hike for the subways and busses that I gotta let loose. In addition to that, I am mad as hell at the dumb a$$es over at the DOT. What a bunch of idiots that must run that operation. Alternate side of the street parking was in effect today and for what ? They streets were not in any condition to be swept my the street sweepers. There was way too much snow. In their infinite wisdom do the morons at the DOT suspend alt side ? NO because they are a bunch of stupid beaurocrats sitting on their fat behinds making decisions that would be better off being made by ppl with half a brain. Gosh I am getting so sick of this town and the way it is run. So much graft, payola and influence peddeling it makes me sick. Getting back on the subway thing, in most other big cities, the fare contributes less than 25% of the operating expenses of the mass transit system. Here in NY the fare is over 50% of expenses and operating costs of the whole system. Why is that ? Because it was designed poorly or it is now run by fools ? I gotta get outta NYC for a while !!!
