NYC? ANYONE?

most of them say NYC, almost never NY

Pffft...they're all from Kansas, originally. Don't believe their lies!!

From there. LIved there 25 years. Moved 10 years ago. Except for Museum Row on 5th Ave, it's a slimepit. What would you like to know?

Editing this because of a double post.. But, yeah, NYC is great. I live in Queens but would love to move to parts of Manhattan.. Very expensive but I just love the whole "buzz" of this great city.. It's hard to explain.. Just sitting in Washington Sq. park drinking coffee feels great.. Only city that I can compare NYC to is London.. NYC does have it's problems but some of the edgiest yet warm people live in this great city (sure, people in Kansas are friendly but New Yorkers have this great grit to them that's very real and their kindness is not that fake Disney-world type BS)..

Problem is, people consider NYC to be Manhattan, when it also comprises 4 other boroughs...

Kindness!!! People here are arrogant, and it only gets worse as time goes on...

Well, I disagree.. On the surface, NY-ers are arrogant and a bit hot tempered.. but, in a time of need, they've proven time and again that they're really all just softies.. That's why a lot of Hollywood types move from LA to NYC- NYC has culture, class, and a graceful warmth that's hard to describe..

I live in Staten Island and it used to be nice until the population boom. People from Brooklyn who keep moving in are ruining it...

Not when you get mugged... 😉.

Yep, I live in NYC as well. I can't imagine living in the countryside or one of those rural areas where its just rural for miles and miles... But here the hustle and bustle, while annoying at times, provides a lot of human interaction and experiences that you won't find anywhere else. Time goes quite fast around here and when you sit back and look around it's just amazing.

I never said it was all cotten candy and ice cream.. I've been mugged, my car's smashed into and I'm one of the few people that knows exactly what urine mixed with amonia and burnt pretzels smells like..But I wouldn't give this city up even if you paid me..

Yup, nothing beats the smell of the SI Ferry Terminals 🙂

You have to admit though, we do/(did?) have the Naked Cowboy... 🙂

I think I have, but I've seen a lot of "almost naked" people roaming the streets...
