NY Trip

Anyone been to NY during New Years? A friend of mine and I want to goto NY to be in Times Square for New Years. We managed to find hotels with vacancies and the most reasonable is in NJ. Is there an easy way to get from NJ to NY during this holiday? ie. Subway, Cab, Bus?

There are many ways to get to NY from NJ. Buses run regularly, but if you're just across the river, you'll want to take an NJ Transit train to Penn Station or the Path train.

Be aware that if you want to go to Times Square, get there EARLY (prior to 4 pm) and don't expect to be able to leave until after the ball drops.
