and does it bigly

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/06/14/nyregion/trump-foundation-lawsuit-attorney-general.html

The New York State attorney general’s office filed a scathingly worded lawsuit on Thursday taking aim at the Donald J. Trump Foundation, accusing the charity and the Trump family of sweeping violations of campaign finance laws, self-dealing and illegal coordination with the presidential campaign.

The lawsuit, which seeks to dissolve the foundation and bar President Trump and three of his children from serving on nonprofit organizations, was an extraordinary rebuke of a sitting president. The attorney general also sent referral letters to the Internal Revenue Service and the Federal Election Commission for possible further action, adding to Mr. Trump’s extensive legal challenges.

The lawsuit, filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, culminated a nearly two-year investigation of Mr. Trump’s charity, which became a subject of scrutiny during and after the 2016 presidential campaign. While such foundations are supposed to be devoted to charitable activities, the complaint asserts that Mr. Trump’s was often used to settle legal claims against his various businesses, even spending $10,000 on a portrait of Mr. Trump that was hung at one of his golf clubs.

The foundation was also used to curry political favor, the lawsuit asserts. During the 2016 race, the foundation became a virtual arm of Mr. Trump’s campaign, email traffic showed, with his campaign manager Corey Lewandowski directing its expenditures, even though such foundations are explicitly prohibited from political activities.

Mr. Trump immediately attacked the lawsuit, characterizing it in a Twitter post as an attempt by the “sleazy New York Democrats” to damage him by suing the foundation, vowing not to settle the case.

Trump is everything conservatives hate about Hillary Clinton tenfold, except he has a penis, pals around with racists and hates immigrants, so that makes him ok in their world view and forever shields him from any criticism (for petty things like ignoring the rule of law.)

Anyone claiming otherwise is either in denial, or is actively seeking to undermine rule of law for their own personal benefit (FYGM).

Trump's a billionaire, he doesn't need to do petty foundation misappropriation. Fake News.

I hope they are sharing this with the southern district as many of these appear to be federal offenses as well.

And not just civil offenses, criminal ones.

Lol...they've got emails of Lewandowski asking the them to disperse funds from the charity ahead of campaign events. Signed memos, from Trump, that charity funds are to be used to settle his biz disputes. This appears to be just the tip of the iceberg.

NYS is going to fuck these people up in court.

The IRS should be interested too. Investigations could go on for YEARS.

Not sure how that’s anything other than massive tax fraud?

Guess we know what Trump meant without question now on saying he would "pay for the campaign himself".

Is anyone shocked by the self dealing? At all?

The weirdest part is that none of it matters to Trumpsters. They knew he was crooked when they voted for him. When he said he didn't pay any federal income tax because he was smart they roared with approval. I believe the anti-gubmint propaganda got to 'em a long time ago.

Oh, and be sure to take Pride in America & the system of govt we've built since the Revolution by hatin' on de gubmint. Let the Capitalists run everything because it'll all trickle down.

So a guy on Hillary's "leadership council" investigates and accuses the Trump Foundation of a whole bunch of things that the clinton foundation is doing and he is ignoring. While he is trying to decide if he actually wants to float this lawsuit he gets accused of, not surprisingly, beating women and is forced to resign. I wonder how much pressure he and hillary put on that useful idiot currently in the AG's office to move forward with this. They probably wanted to wait until a little closer to the mid-terms but decided that might be too obvious and they needed to interrupt the NK news cycle.

If you have a handwritten note by Hillary Clinton directing the Clinton Foundation to illegally use its funds to settle disputes for her private business by all means link it! Otherwise, I assume you fully support New York's lawsuit against him along with its referrals of its finding to the appropriate federal agencies for potential prosecution?

Proof/links please

and why are your boys doing nothing about it since they control the AG office, Presidency, vice Presidency, the Senate and the House? Is there nothing to charge or are the aforementioned people completely incompetent? Its one of the other, which is it?
