After today's performance, the answer is obvious. But, in the interest of fairness to all you crying Jets and Vikings fans, I'll give you a vote...

I've been a Giants fan all my life, but I know when they have potential for the playoffs or more, and I think this year might be the one.

Uh sorry to burst your bubble but they were playing the Arizona Cardinals... It's like playing the KC Royals in Baseball and beating them. Oh and I am a Giants fan too.

Its the Cardinals. First off, yes, I did pick the Cardinals to win, but still, they were playing the Cardinals. You need only look down your division, you'll find another team that went on the road and beat the AFC west champ, not the NFC west loser....I'd say thats slightly more impressive.

They have to compete with the SF 49ers....since they have the same record and all.

I'm sure that this thread will painfully be raised from the dead later this season when the Giants miss the play-offs again.

So shut up, then, since you obviously don't know squat.

LOL. Pretty early to be saying that. I could say the same thing about the Lions. They are leading their division.

Your new yourk giants beat up on the measley old arizona cardinals and you want congrats?? Thats like the smallest kid in 6th grade, beating up the toughest kid in 4rth grade. Your team blows man. Even with plexiglass on your roster this year, your still going 7-9 or 8-8...

Grats to indy for really slugging the ravens...

Giants fan here. I didn't see the game (I was too busy riding my bike 115 miles) but reading Eli's stat line scares me. 10/23 with two picks for a mere 172 yds? I don't care about the 2TDs, because if he's going to be worth the dough he should get 1-3 TDs per game (i.e. this is expected). Those other stats are pretty disappointing. 10/23? That's putrid!

At least he didn't *cough* Chad *cough* fumble six times.

Considering this was Eli's, what, eighth NFL game, I'm not overly concerned with stats. It is rare, indeed, for any college QB to step into the NFL and look like he belongs. Given some time to pass, (and that's my concern), he'll develop into the real deal.

The two Ints were tipped passes.

Eli did not have a big game, but the Giants special teams were awesome. A kickoff return for a TD and a punt return for a TD in the same game, how often does that happen? Oh, and Feagles is the best punter in the NFL.

Ah, that's a little better. A LOT better, in fact. Like I said, I didn't see the game and only had stats to go on. The completion percentage is still horrendous. 43%? Yikes!

Willie Ponder scored on a kickoff return and Chad Morton on a punt return. It was the first time since Oct. 30, 1955 that the Giants scored on a kickoff and punt return in the same game.

Yeah, that's the last time the Giants did it. I wonder when was the last time it happened at all?

If you read my other thread...if the Falcons win tonight, I'll be 11/16 this week, I'd call that pretty decent predicting for Week 1....

I'm guessing you're a Giants fan. I look forward to Week 6 :D

I like the Giants chances vs. Dallas as it looks right now. But a thousand things will change by the time week 6 rolls along.
