NXE Party Chat question

there should be an option to switch from game chat to party chat in the party controls. i did it the other day i believe.
 
The only available choice was probably Party Chat because you weren't in a game. I just tried it myself while I was watching a video, and it wouldn't let me switch the chat option. Were you in a game when you tried to change the option, or at the dashboard? Maybe you have to actually be in a game lobby where you can actually chat before you can change the chat option.

We were all playing TF2, in the same game. Tried it in lobby, ingame, in seperate games, etc.

Yeah not sure what the deal is then, it's definitely possible. Sounds like a PEBKAC error.
