GoG is selling NWN2 at a . . . reasonable price, so I grabbed it recently since I skipped the title years ago when it was new.

One of the things that instantly struck me playing the game is that you can't attack anyone/anything in town like you could in NWN1. Playing an "evil" character or generating a lot of negative alignment hits quickly seems difficult.

The toolset made it easy to enable attacking neutrals, but it seems impossible to open the actual campaign modules to edit global PvP settings therein. There are no console commands (that I know of) to override those settings.

Does anyone know how to edit the Original Campaign (OC) modules to correct this shortcoming of the game?

I am aware that killing people in town might break the game, but I'm willing to deal with the consequences.

Unfortunately, NWN2 was a regression of the epic NWN1 in several areas including downgrading the toolset. AFAIK, the only possible workaround is to make a copy of the OC mods, edit them then load them as a Community Modules rather than OC? Not sure what that will break though or if it's even possible as the sequel's Electron Engine was quite a jarring step back from the originals unparalleled Aurora Engine flexibility.

You can use the toolset to change the module list in the OC if you like. I just can't find copies of the modules anywhere to open by hand. It's like they have them stored in some other format?
