Well, i decided to start over so that i can play coop with my buddy from the beginning. Must have spent at least an hour flipping through the manual and trying to figure out what kind of character i should make.

Ended up going with a fighter. Wanted to make him a little more original than the usual sword/shield warrior, so i decided to go with a two-weapon battleaxe specialist. So now i'm level 4 and have Weapon Focus (battleaxe), Weapon Specialization (battleaxe), Two-Weapon Fighting, Improved Two-Weapon Fighting and Cleave. And damn does this guy rock!

I used "recommended" stats for my previous character, and i gotta tell ya that it's a lot more fun playing a character that you designed yourself, and designed right! It's cool to have some sort of an idea of what you want him to be like and then watching him become it. So take your time, look through the manual, spend hours if you like. It'll be worth it!

Man, I'd start over, but I've put way too much time into my lvl 7 elvish wizard to go back and do it again :p

Whats wrong with wizards? I'm playing an elf wizard too, and it rocks. The wizard just seems stronger than any other class taken into account his familiar, and his summons. I had my ass kicked as my previous character, a monk, but now I'm just flying through everything.

My 7th level Bard may not be the be-all, end-all of fighting or magic, or skulldugery, but I'm really enjoying her. And she looks hot in a +1 chain shirt! ;)

Too bad Bards don't get better offensive spells.
