What exactly does this do? It's a background service that comes with the Nvidia drivers. I have always disabled it in the past (didn't cause any issues as far as I could tell, and I don't like to have unnecessary services running), but I forgot to do that when I switched to the 84.21 drivers recently and was getting some strange problems. When I opened up certain games, the computer would momentarily freeze for about five seconds, with stuttering sounds and the monitor showing its "no signal" message, although it worked fine after that. This only happened with some games. Also, Windows always hung up for about 10 seconds whenever it was starting up (couldn't move the mouse or anything). These problems all went away when I turned off that service again.
