NVSilencer 6600GT Installation Question

Hello everyone! I am new to this forum and would like to introduce myself to everyone here. I hope that through browsing these forums I can assist some of you out there.

Hopefully some of you more experienced individuals with GPU cooling can assist me with installation of a NVSilencer that I have purchased for my video card. I am running a Chaintech 6600 GT here is the link to my specific card:

Chaintech 6600 GT

With installing the NVSilencer if you notice on the video card, there are two ramsinks on the card. With installing the silencer those come in the way of the silencer fitting on the specific card. Is it safe to remove those ramsinks and install the silencer? Or should I not remove them and keep the stock heatsink on the GPU?

Here is a link to the Silencer:

Thank you for any assistance!

Hmm I have Asus cards, and was wondering that myself.
May have to go with something other than slot type cooler...
Like Zalman, but I dont know yet for sure....wait for others input😉
