Today my MSI K8N Neo2 and Athlon64 3500+ arrived, the last of the parts of my new system.
I set it up with a 4 drive RAID 10 array. The 32-bit windows XP is installing right now, into the RAID array. The 64-bit windows XP does not see any drives (since RAID is turned on in BIOS and it has no drivers for it).
I extracted the IDE (raid) directory from the nForce unified drivers, and put this on a 1.68MB floppy.
When I use F6 during the 64-bit windows install to try to use these drivers, it gets the following errors when trying to install the NVidia ATA & RAID drivers:
Has anyone set up 64-bit NVRAID during windows installation so it can be used for the system drive successfully? Would appreciate any hints on how to get this to work.
One odd difference between the 64-bit and 32-bit version of the drivers is the 64-bit ones have no .CAT files. The 2 cat files are the only difference in the file lists between the 64 and 32 bit versions of the drivers.
Can anyone who is using the 64-bit NVRAID tell me if the installer creates 2 files named NVRAID.CAT and NVATA.CAT? I kind of suspect having those 2 files might make the floppy F6 install work.
