Question Nvme adapter on old motherboard?

I have a GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 mobo with an i5 2500k oced (the mobo doesn't support NVME). Win 10 is on a regular 240gig SSD. I'm wanting to use a nvme adapter card with a 970 evo just as extra storage for certain games so I don't deal with that much "hitching" since most games are installed on a 7200rpm hd. Will Win10 allow this? Later when I upgrade I will put the 970 EVO in a newer motherboard.

You can use NVME on older boards (using a adapter card) for general storage, only as a Boot drive it requires BIOS support.

As mentioned you can use it but not boot to it. There are workarounds including a BIOS mod or something like Clover EFI.
