Wayyy to much money for that truck. I bet you could pick up an early 2000 model for that kind of scratch.
I don't want an early 2000 model. I want the box style, and I'd prefer a 5-speed. They are very rare in these trucks. Chevy trucks keep their resale value, trucks around this year are going for 4k or so in just alright condition.
Hey, if you're looking for "that specific truck" more power to you, definitely buy want you want.
If you just need a reliable, clean, late-model truck for around $7-8K there are better options. Here's one.
It would be hard for me to pay 3k for the truck in the OP... I might offer 2k if it runs, shifts and stops reasonably well.
Just to give you an idea, a friend bought recently a 2002 GMC 1500 for 6K, 4x4, extended cab with 90k miles. These trucks don't hold value like they once did.
I've looked at other trucks, specifically Chevy. I certainly don't want a Ford. It would be hard for me to pay 3k for the one you posted. The only worthwhile cars Ford has put out IMO are the Mustangs and the newer trucks (IE Raptor and Ecoboost variety). If I wanted a newer body style, I could no doubt find one closer to my liking and at a bit more reasonable price, but while it won't be a off-road vehicle or a pavement queen, I want something to at least look decent for being a 10+ year old vehicle and something I'd like to drive on a daily basis (preferably a 5-speed).
I live ten minutes outside of canton. PM me.
