the noise level in an empty testing hall is 40dB. when there is 100 students taking tests the noise level is 60dB. Assume all students contribute equally to noise power.
What is the noise level to the nearest dB when 50 students have finished?

looking more for the general equation than the answer

i think i found a website that helped

do your own homework, this is pretty basic algebra if you assume the surfaces react to sound the same regardless of the noise level.
