I am still using my trusty TNT2 Ultra and was looking around to see what the best drivers would be for it in Windows 2000. So far it seems the 12.41 has the vote.
I went to Nvidia's website and in the driver's archive it says:
<< All NVIDIA graphics processors are supported through NVIDIA's Industry Standard Unified Driver Architecture (UDA). If you are using a TNT or TNT2 Ultra product, please download the non-WHQL driver. >>
Uhhh... what is the difference between WHQL and non-WHQL. I know that WHQL means certified and tested by Microsoft but why does Nvidia want TNT2 users to get the non-WHQL version? Would there be any stability problems with the use of non-WHQL drivers? What would happen if I did use the WHQL version in Windows 2000?
