ok,

Nvidia canned NV50 and canceled NV48 - thats why the only thing they can hype is "SLI" and trying to sell their Nforce SLI boards and double the sales of their cards "for SLI" 🙂

The sad thing is, many people actually jump on the hype...just from my personal point of view a new generation of GPU is much more interesting and exciting than SLI.

I do NOT exclude ATI there since a new gfx GPU generation is LOOOONG overdue for ATI, too.

I myself am looking sooo forward to both ATI's and Nvidia's next gen GPU's. Shouldn't be too long now 😉

I tink Nvidia will probably still have a new core to compete against the R520 it just wont be the NV50. I can't believe they would just now have an offering to compet with. I agree with you though IMO SLI is not worth the money. WHy spend $1000 now when in 6 months you can spend $500 and have around the same performance or maybe even better.

Because thats the way computers work couillon. You can either buy an item now for $$, or wait till later and buy it for $.

Either way, I agree that SLI is not worth it at all.
