Using windows media center to play Clear QAM HD broadcasts is no longer displaying video with the 285.62's. Audio comes through, but video is blank.

Reverted to 280.26 and the issue is gone.

The issue is also affecting WMP video playback.

Anybody else seeing video playback issues with the 285.62's?

Edit: nVidia is aware of the issue.

Looks from what i'm seeing this issue is affecting everyone who downloaded the driver.

I had been having problems with the new driver also. Kind of strange problems, but would totally lock up my computer and I would have to force restart. So I have gone back to previous version and now have no problems at all.

Nvidia's drivers outright suck since the option to force trilinear mipmaps has been gone forever now. They use linear_nearest rather than linear_linear. The result is that a lot of older games have texture aliasing and it pisses me off.

Not surprising. I'm still on the previous betas, they broke HD playback in media player classic.

Video is messed up since last couple releases. Heaven benchmarks and futermark show corruption in them, and Media files no matter the player i use.

Games work flawlessly oddly enough.

Well all these drivers are BETA versions, so can't complain. 285.62 in particular is a beta driver for Battlefield 3, so no surprise if some other programs might have issues.

285.62 are not betas, they are full WHQL release drivers.

It's just more of the same old crappy nvidia drivers.

You may be referring to the 258.38's, the initial BF3 beta driver AFAIK. As Groove noted the 258.62 are the WHQL's still up on nVidia's site. nVidia's driver download page is giving me issues as well since they updated to the new format.

I've seen recommendations to roll back to the 258.38's when encountering issues on the 258.62, though on the 258.38's i'm getting display driver crashes at random times during video playback.

Back to the 280's for now.
