Hey guys,

just wondering, would the nvidia vid card have more performance gain on nvidia chips? or doesnt realy matter? cz from what i've read, sli onli works on nvidia chip.

So, if i m getting the ds3l, would it make my 8800gt slower as opposed to getting a evga 780i mobo?

thanks.

To the best of my knowledge the chipset only effects you if you want to run SLI/Crossfire and doesn't affect single card solutions.

That being said you can find rumor and conjecture to support anything on teh intrawebs. Personally I'm going to run SLI in the near future so I went with the 780i. Granted it won't overclock like Intel chips do, but it's been a rock solid platform for me and I don't regret the choice.

It won't hinder your performance, it will only limit your options to single card or xfire.

That question is a lot like "Which is bigger, red or blue?" depends, don't it?

Things are not always as they appear......
I have a number of overclocked, water cooled computers and a phase change system. I find an Intel 440BX with a PIII500/100 much harder to overclock than any of my other computers.
With your computer, you overclock by making changes in the BIOS, with mine, over clocking is done with a BIOS editor and a soldering iron. If you havn't tried it...don't knock it!

And what is the point of your post, other than being a troll?
