NVIDIA TwinView - bite me, why does this happen??

In some cases, after Dual Monitor support has been enabled with an e-GeForce2 MX TwinView card, on rebooting the second monitor will be blank and will not display anything.

has this happened to anyone else? this is annoying and defeats the purpose of twinview doesn't it? i have a visiontek geforce2 mx card running win2k pro and dual dell LCDs.

In the past, the Geforce 2 MX cards required that a monitor be DDC complaint in order for Twinview to work correctly. With the new drivers, it does not require a DDC complaint video card so if you set your drivers a specific way upon shutdown, it should not require you to reconfigure this the next time you restart your computer. I don't own a Twinview Geforce 2 MX so I can't verify this.
