Someone at Videocardz trawled through Nvidia's newer drivers and found references to three as-yet-unreleased products: the Quadro M5000, Quadro M4000, and Tesla M60.

It's safe to assume that the M5000 will be based on a full GM204 - so it will basically be the professional version of the GTX 980. Based on past history, we can expect more RAM (8GB would be my guess), better binning and more restrictive clock settings for lower TDP, the usual support for professional drivers and applications, and maybe ECC (though I wouldn't count on that - we don't know if GM204 supports that feature). I think we're likely to see a street price around $1,799, which is about what the current K5200 sells for.

It's not as clear exactly what the M4000 will be. Videocardz seems sure it will be a cut-down GM204, but they don't specify what makes them so certain about that. It seems possible that it could be a GM206 instead (note that the earlier Quadro K4000 was a GK106-based card). If it's GM206, then it would of course be a fully enabled chip. If it's GM204, then I wouldn't be surprised to see it be basically 3/4 of the full chip: 1536 shaders with a 192-bit memory bus. (This truncated memory bus was used on the GTX 970M.) It would then have 6GB of RAM to avoid an asymmetrical memory configuration. Whichever chip is used, I think we're likely to see a price around $749-$799, based on the current pricing of the K4200 in the same tier. Personally, I'm hoping for a GM206-based M4000 because of that chip's HEVC support, but this may not be something that many users of the product care about.
