Nvidia to make 8600 AGP cards?!

I don't believe it. Thank god I didn't get a 1900 series AGP card. Guess I"ll wait for my pci-e upgrade.

just a 7800GS *upgrade* ...not 8800 ... just 8600

i doubt it will be as fast as an x1950xt in AGP

but with DX10

The G84 is set to replace Geforce 7600 GS cards and these cards sell for around ?100, which is not bad deal for an AGP card.

I'd settle for 7900gt performance with direct x 10 capabilities and it should be a real good overclocker.

I don't think it would be smart to make a direct 10 agp card slower then the 7800gs. That would be stupid,and I don't see this happening.

I think the 7600GT was pretty darn close in performance to a 7800GS. So a 8600GT should pass in no problem. If they can also crank it out for $100, I would not mind picking one up for one of my older systems.

How many shaders does a 1950pro have ? This card is going to have 48.I hope it has 256 bit memory.

Edit: performance should be somewhere in between 8600gt and 8600 ultra I guess.

How long should graphic companies keep making AGP anyway? nVidia doesn't even produce a chipset at this point that supports it (and hasn't since nForce 4).

They may, but many people with AGP systems wouldn't upgrade the graphics card Hell, they probably don't know HOW to upgrade anything.

I might buy one to replace a 6600GT in my HTPC and then use the 6600GT in my work PC. I wonder what I could get for a 5900ultra?
