Nvidia to launch new 8800GTS soon

We all heard that Nvidia would be revamping the 8800GTS, but is there any timeframe we should be looking at.

I was too optomistic hoping it would launch side by side with Crysis.


Seeing as how there are supply issues with the GT they dont seem to be in any position to bring out another model any time soon.


What's your take on the upcoming 8800GTS?
 
there are numerous other posts re 8800gts already. it is supposed to launch 12/3. Judging by the 8800gt launch, get one on launch day or expect to wait until 2012 to get one 😉
 
I was looking forward to the new gts, but unless I see some serious supply improvements with the 8800gt soon, chances are the gts supply won't be any better, since they are based on the same gpu. I might just pick up a 3870 if the price remains reasonable.
