nVidia Ti4400: still viable option?

I am interested in purchasing a Ti4400, being that it seems to be a good middle ground between the Ti4200 and Ti4600. However, when I check out the anandtech.com "Weekly Hardware Price Guide - CPUs & Video", I notice that they leave out the Ti4400. Can anyone think of a reason why?

I really want to have a dual head nVidia card that also has VIVO.

Thanks in Advance.

I've noticed the 4400 not showing up as much lately also. With news today that the 4600 is no longer being produced I would imagine the 4400 also has/had the same fate.

IIRC ti4400's have been out of production for a month or so now, so whatever inventory is floating around on retailers shelves are all thats left. I was looking at ti4400's as well, but found a nice alternative in the "ti4300" cards (from links posted by AnAndAustin and others) aka the ti4200 turbos.

They use the same extended 6-layer PCB's that the ti4400 and ti4600's are printed on, and also have 3.3ns BGA RAM thats found on the ti4600. The only remaining difference between a ti4600 and ti4200 is the presense of voltage regulating capacitors and other board optimizations as well as a tweaked BIOS, but my ti4200 turbo sure has a lot of capacitors :D

The only one I found in regular supply was the Albatron ti4200 Turbo, which can be had for ~$185. I've taken it to 300/650 right off the bat....I'm sure I could get it higher as some have reached 320/700+, but I just haven't had the time to tweak or push it.

I dont know what you mean by "viable" but hell, I'm running a Leadtek G3 TI200 @233/533 and There isnt a game out that I cant play at enjoyable framerates (30+ fps)

On this card I play, UT2003k at 1024/768 details maxxed, Asherons Call 2, BF1942.... I mean what the hell are you going to run on this thing? I am an AVID gamer and I am not anywere near the point were I feel the push to upgrade... maybe after new years I'll have a compelling reason. but as of right now I think my system is more then "required"
