Nvidia Tech Demos Are Stuttering

I tried to run Luna, Nalu and Dusk and then run at about 2 FPS when they ran like glass before. Anyone else seeing this? Clocked down to 570/875 from 570/900 with no change and played the Black & White 2 demo for an hour tonight without a problem.

The 84.21 drivers have very poor OpenGL performance so that would explain the issue if the tech demos run under said API.

I have the FW84.21 WHQL drivers installed on my system, and the Mad Mod Mike demo runs really well. My videocard is an XFX 7900GT EE.

Weird. I uninstalled the Nvidia drivers and put on the TRU set and when I started Luna and Nalu, they were just as slow and choppy as ever, but after a bit, they smoothed out and ran fine. FEAR got CRAZY faster, but Dusk had anamolies.

Just use the 84.20's, the 84.21's appear to suffer issues the 84.20's don't. I recommend the Extreme-G version linked above.

And just to clairify, there is no diffierece between the 84.21's and the 84.20 besides the WHQL thing.
(yet the 84.20 works better?)

Do the XTG drivers help with 6 series cards and FEAR or are they only better for 7 series cards?
