Nvidia takingdesperate measure (or not)???????

Yeah, ATI got thoroughly flamed in a few forums for releasing these slides.
X1800XT. Good card. Strong performer. Competing against a card that was released about six months ago from Nvidia, namely the 7800GTX. It competes very well with the 7800GTX and trades blows depending on game and settings.

That's really all that needs to be said. Nvidia had the souped up GTX on the back burner for a while, and when they saw how well the X1800XT ran, they naturally decided to release another product that would keep it well in the performance lead. So it was a natural course of action. Nvidia and ATI contantly try to "One-up" each other. So, I don't think this was a desperate act of any sort. Just normal business.
 
Did you miss the huge flaming thread on this topic posted like 2 weeks ago? Anyway, both Ati and Nvidia release trash-talking slides about each other, some of it is true, some is not.
